Northumberland and Durham Junior League (aka Diddy League) is the first big gala most swimmers will compete in, and it's a wild mix of speed, teamwork, and non-stop excitement. Expect roaring crowds, close finishes, and over 50 races packed into just two and a half hours. Check out the results for 2025.

League Levels & Finals
Three divisions with promotion & relegation, so every point counts
Top six teams per division make the finals
If your team wins Division 1? You represent Northumberland & Durham in the Northern Final
If your team were to win this level, well then it's on to the National Finals in November!
Who's Racing?
Age groups: 9, 10, 11, and 12 year olds
Teams: four girls + four boys per age group
Events: Freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, fly + freestyle & medley relays
And the Canon: a noisy and epic 8-person relay to close it all out
Training & Selection
As Junior League approaches, your coaches will work on what's needed for the team to maximise its potential.
Coaches will pick the fastest team based on:
✓ Performance in training & races
✓ Positive attitude and effort
✓ Swim-offs and time trials
If you want to swim the final, you've got to EARN that spot
