Who can join a Masters Squad at D&G?
Age — Typically for swimmers aged 25 and older, though many Masters swimmers start as young as 18.
Skill Level — Open to all. Masters swimming is inclusive, welcoming complete beginners who want to stay active through to swimmers with competitive ambitions.
Purpose — Masters swimming is principally about enjoying swimming in a structured, social, and — if you like — competitive environment.
If you choose to compete, you can race locally, nationally, or even internationally. Some of our D&G swimmers have seen great success at the World Championships. In the UK, Swim England oversees Masters Swimming, with the British Masters Championships held every year.

- Improve performance at competitions
- Train for triathlons or open water events
- Or simply rekindle a love for swimming
