Squad & Membership Fees

 

Membership information - 2026

On joining D&G two annual fees are payable – Club membership and Swim England Membership . These are in addition to the monthly training fees and are renewed in January (SE) and March (club) each year for the period 1st 
January – 31st December. 

Swim England Membership 
Swim England Membership Fees are payable on joining and annually in January each year. The affiliation fees for 2026 are: 

  • Club Train = £20.75 – for those learning to swim at any level within the club, you are also able to compete in low level competitions which are exempt from Swim England rules. 
  • Club Compete = £49.35 – For those looking to take part in competitions in any of the Swim England disciplines 
  • Club Support = £12.80 – for coaches/volunteers who help towards the running of the club

Derwentside & Gateshead Swim Team Annual Club Membership 

The Annual Club Membership runs from 1st January and is: 

  • Individual swimmer in competitive squads – Gold, Silver 1&2, Bronze, Competitive Development & Youth Development = £25.00 
  • Individual swimmer in remaining squad – Swim Fit, Skills Development & Masters = £15.00 
  • D&G non-swimming Membership = £15 (non-swimming membership will allow you to vote at the AGM or any additional special AGM meetings) 

Non Members 
Any parent of a junior swimmer in the club is welcome to attend an AGM or EGM but does not automatically have the right to contribute to the meeting. 

Any parent over the age of 18 can be a member of the club if their child is under 18.

Squad Fee Payment Policy 

Squad fees are payable throughout the year. 

Payment breaks are not permitted during times of injury, illness or other absence.

Swimmers must continue to pay to keep their place in the squad. 

The committee will consider applications in times of hardship or serious illness/injury on a case by case basis. 

Please submit these requests in writing to the secretary.

Note: In the event that swimmers are linked to more than one club then dual registration forms must also be completed which are available from the Membership Secretary.
