Volunteering at a swimming gala is like stepping into the engine room of a high-energy, precision-run event—and your role will make all the difference.  Simply put, no volunteers, no event!!

So, why should you consider volunteering with D&G Swim Team?

You'll be part of the action

Front-row seat to competition: You’ll witness incredible athleticism and personal triumphs up close.

Support those special moments: Galas are often the culmination of months of training—your help makes them possible.

Feeling the buzz: The atmosphere is electric, with cheering crowds, fast races, and team spirit everywhere.

You'll be making an important contribution

Keep things running smoothly: Whether you are selling sweets, running the club shop, timing, marshalling or announcing, volunteers are the very backbone of the event.

Help ensure fair play: Roles like timekeeping and officiating uphold the integrity of the competition.

Make it enjoyable for all: From guiding spectators to organizing results, your efforts shape the experience.

You'll help to build a community

Meeting people: Coaches, parents, swimmers—all united by a love of the sport.

Strengthen local ties: You’ll become a familiar and valued face in your club or region.

Create lasting memories: Shared challenges and celebrations forge strong bonds.

You'll learn & grow

Develop transferable skills: Organisation, teamwork, communication—all in a fast-paced setting.

Gain confidence: Taking responsibility in a live event builds poise and problem-solving ability.

Explore new roles: You might discover a knack for officiating, announcing, or event logistics.

You'll experience a genuine feel-good factor

Give back to the sport: Your time helps create opportunities for others to shine.

See immediate impact: Every race that runs smoothly, every swimmer who feels supported—it’s thanks to you, the volunteers.
