Nut Allergy Notice

We have been advised that some attendees this weekend have severe nut allergies. Please do not bring any items containing nuts to the meet. Thank you for your cooperation.

D&G Swim Team — Pool Location

D&G will be based around the Small pool. Please advise all swimmers to head to that area once the doors are open.


Warm-up & Session Times

Entry to the pool area will not be before 8.10 am. Warm-up and racing times are the same on both Saturday and Sunday.

Important Notices

  • Photography & video is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in the pool, changing and spectator areas. Anyone found acting contrary to this policy may be asked to leave.
  • Mobile phones must not be used in changing areas — this includes calls, messages, music, internet and photography. Phones must remain out of sight in bags or pockets.
  • Parents are NOT permitted in the changing area.
  • Swimmers leaving the pool area must wear a top, shorts and footwear.
  • No hot drinks are allowed on poolside.
  • Swimmers and parents are not permitted on the stairways to poolside — for official and emergency use only.

Full Conditions

  1. Held under Swim England Regulations & Technical Rules, licensed by Swim England NER as a Level 3 meet.
  2. Meet held at The Louisa Centre, Stanley — 25m pool, variable depth, 6 lanes with anti-wave lane ropes. Separate swim-down facility available. No external starting strobe facility.
  3. Colorado Electronic Timing in operation with scoreboard display. Times displayed are for information only.
  4. Entries open 8am on 27th April 2026 and will be accepted until each session is full.
  5. Swimmers may compete for only one club during the meet.
  6. The Female category is for birth sex females in accordance with Swim England's Transgender and Non-Binary Competition Policy.
  7. Entry times must be NO faster than the accompanying qualifying times and should be from Rankings or a training time. If necessary, convert to 25m pool times using Swim England Conversion Tables.
  8. Ages are as at 14th June 2026.
  9. Age groups/Events:
    9 years: 50m, 100m and 200m form strokes; 100IM; 200IM (excluding 200 Butterfly & 400IM)
    10 years: 50m, 100m and 200m form strokes; 100IM; 200IM (excluding 400IM)
    11 years & over: 50m, 100m and 200m form strokes; 100IM; 200IM; 400IM
    All events will be Heat Declared Winner by Age Group.
  10. Entry fees: £7.00 per event. Poolside entries accepted at £10 per swim if not oversubscribed, at the discretion of the Meet Manager.
  11. Poolside pass: £20 Weekend / £10 Day — includes start sheets, lunch and results. Coaches and Team Managers will NOT be permitted on poolside without a pass.
  12. Entries must be submitted on the Entry Manager file. Email Sportsystems Entry Manager file to: natalie.johnson@gawswim.org.uk. A valid email address must be supplied for entry confirmation.
  13. Heats seeded slowest to fastest. Organisers reserve the right to limit entries. If oversubscribed, entries will be rejected from the slowest entries fairly across all age groups.
    Maximum of 4 heats for Events 201, 401 and 400IM.
    Unaccepted entries will be refunded in full. Withdrawals on medical grounds require supporting documentary evidence.
  14. Awards: first six in age groups 9 and 10; first three in 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15/Over. First three disability swimmers in each event (determined by multi-classification points).
  15. Only swimmers who can perform an SE competitive start may use starting blocks. Swimmers must remain in the water until asked to leave. No watches, Fitbits or timing devices permitted.
  16. Disability swimmers swim under IPC Rules. No qualifying times required, but a time must be submitted for seeding. Poolside passes at advertised fee. Chaperones/personal care assistants must hold a current DBS Certificate. Disability swimmers included in age group results.
  17. Spectator admission: £5/session or £10/day. Concessions £4/session or £8/day. Under 12s accompanied by adults admitted free. Start sheets 50p per session. Cash or card accepted.
  18. Photography and video is strictly forbidden in the pool, changing and spectator areas.
  19. Swimmers and parents are not permitted on the stairways to poolside.
  20. D&G Swim Team will not be responsible for any unaccompanied swimmer on poolside. Competing clubs must provide the correct ratio of Team Managers to Swimmers per Swim England guidance.
  21. Mobile phones must not be used in changing areas for any purpose. Phones must remain out of sight in bags or pockets.
  22. Anti-social behaviour or damage to property may result in disqualification and banning from future meets.
  23. Swimmers leaving the pool area must wear a top, shorts and footwear.
  24. Only pool staff, swimmers, coaches, team managers, officials and authorised club volunteers are allowed in the changing area and on poolside. A poolside wristband or Swim England pass must be worn at all times. Parents are NOT permitted in the changing area.
  25. Withdrawal notifications: by 5pm the day before an AM session; at least 1 hour before a PM session start.
  26. Coaches/Team Managers are responsible for ensuring competitors report to the marshalling area on time. We will not call for individual swimmers.
  27. No hot drinks on poolside.
  28. D&G Swim Team and Durham County Council cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to property. Swimmers are advised to use lockers (50p refundable).
  29. Full results will be posted publicly (D&G website, Rankings and possibly competing club websites). Entering the meet is acceptance of this.
