We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team of qualified gala officials. Officiating is a fantastic way to support our swimmers — and enjoy some great perks along the way.

What Officials Do

TimekeepingRecording accurate race times for each swimmer.
Judging TurnsEnsuring swimmers complete legal turns at the wall.
Stroke JudgingChecking swimmers comply with the rules for each stroke.
Fair RacingMaintaining order on poolside and supporting the referee.

Training Pathway

Most volunteers start as timekeepers and build from there:

Training is provided through Swim England and supported by the club. No prior experience needed.

Requirements

Must be a D&G Swim Team member

Must be registered with Swim England (ASA)

Already qualified or currently in training? We would love to hear from you.
