There’s nothing quite like the Northumberland & Durham Teams Meet.   It’s the one meet on the calendar where the usual lanes‑and‑stopwatch routine transforms into something bigger, louder, and far more electric.   This isn’t just another gala.   It’s a full scale celebration of county swimming, team spirit, and the kind of competitive fire you only get when the best swimmers from the best clubs in the county go head‑to‑head.

From the moment you walk into Sunderland Aquatic Centre, the atmosphere hits you. The stands fill with colour, chants echo across the pool, and every swimmer knows they’re not just racing for a time.  They’re racing for their team.  Selection alone is an achievement, and once you’re poolside, you feel it.  The pride, the pressure, the excitement that makes this day unlike any other.

Teams Day brings together the strongest squads from across Northumberland and Durham, each one stacked with talent and hungry to prove themselves. The programme is fast, fierce, and relentless, with every point earned adding to the drama. Relays become battles. Individual races turn into statement swims. And by the end of the day, you know you’ve been part of something special.
