From the Club

A New Season Begins

After a well-earned three-week break, we are back in the water on Tuesday 1 September 2026. Whether you are returning to a familiar squad, stepping up to a new one, or joining competitive swim training for the very first time, we are delighted to welcome you back.

This post covers everything you need to know before you arrive on Tuesday. Please take a few minutes to read through it, especially if you are new to the club or moving into a different squad this season.

Squad moves

Promotions and New Starters

A number of swimmers have been promoted to new squads ahead of this season. Congratulations to everyone who has moved up. Please visit our SQUAD TIMETABLES to make sure you're clear on where and when you need to be at training.

If you are brand new to competition swim training at D&G, a very warm welcome. Your first few sessions are about settling in, meeting your squad, and getting comfortable with the training environment. Do not hesitate to speak to your coach or your SQUAD REP if you have any questions. You will most likely have been added to your new WhatsApp Groups where there is also a huge amount of information.

Sessions and Times

Training Timetable

Full session times for all squads are available on our timetable page. Please check your squad carefully, as some session times have changed for the new season. If there are any changes to the timetable, these will be clearly communicated.

If you are unsure which sessions apply to you, contact your coach before Tuesday.

  • Club hat (available from the kit shop)
  • Goggles suitable for training and competition
  • Towel, water bottle, and poolside footwear

Full kit guidance is on our website. If you need to order anything before the season starts, please do so as soon as possible to allow for delivery.
