Event Details
Dates: Thursday 9 – Sunday 12 July 2026
Venue: Aquatics Centre, Aberdeen Sports Village, Regent Walk, Aberdeen, AB24 1SX
Pool: 10-lane, 50m competition pool with full electronic timing, plus a 6-lane 25m warm-up/swim-down pool

Eligibility
The Scottish Summer Meet is open to competitors registered as members of Scottish Swimming only. Entry is by invitation, based on long-course times achieved at accredited meets posted onto the Aquatics GB rankings during the qualifying window of 6 March – 10 May 2026.
Swimmers who do not qualify for the AGB Next Gen Championships will be considered for the Scottish Summer Meet based on their ranking club. Age groups are calculated as at 31 December 2026.
Session Times
Thursday 9 July (Evening Heats only): Warm-up 15:30, Start 16:30
Friday–Sunday (Morning Heats): Warm-up 08:00, Start 09:00
Friday–Sunday (Afternoon Heats): Warm-up 12:15, Start 13:15
Friday–Sunday (Evening Finals): Warm-up 16:30, Start 17:15
All session times are subject to confirmation. Finals are swum from youngest to oldest age group. For the full schedule of events, see the official programme (PDF).
1500m Freestyle — Heat Structure
The 1500m Freestyle will be swum as follows.
Heat 1: The 10 fastest females.
Heat 2: The 10 fastest males and open.
Heats 3–9: Mixed heats, swum fastest to slowest.
Entry Information
Entry fee: £11.50 per individual event
Phase 1 Entry Deadline: Closed — 14:00 on Friday 5 June 2026
Phase 2 Entry Deadline: Closed — 14:00 on Wednesday 24 June 2026
All entries are now closed. No entries will be refunded after the closing date of each phase.
The names of swimmers invited to the Scottish Summer Meet were posted on 14 May 2026.

Withdrawals
Withdrawals prior to the meet should be notified online. Session 1 withdrawals must be notified by midday on Thursday 9 July. Morning session withdrawals must be lodged at the Recorder's Desk by 18:00 the day prior. Afternoon session withdrawals must be lodged by 10:00 on the day of the event.
Swimmers failing to comply (except in cases of genuine illness or proven emergency) will be liable to a £10.00 fine per inappropriate withdrawal. Finals withdrawals must be notified within 30 minutes of the finalists list being published.
Athlete Passes
All competing swimmers must apply for a swimmer pass via their membership. The closing date for pass applications was 14:00 on Monday 6 July 2026. Passes will be emailed to accepted swimmers no later than Tuesday 7 July 2026. Day passes can be collected in venue.

A replacement pass will be charged at £5.00.
Team Staff Passes
Team staff not holding an annual pass may purchase access as follows.
- Full Meet (3.5 days): £25.00
- Day Pass: £10.00
- Late applications (after 14:00 on 6 July 2026): £45.00 per pass
- Lost/replacement pass: £10.00
All team staff must hold a valid PVG/CRB/DBS through Scottish Swimming, Swim England, or Swim Wales, and a valid Child Wellbeing and Protection in Sport (CWPS) certificate.
Team Information
The Team Information pack was issued on Monday 6 July 2026.
General Information
Anti-doping may be in operation at the event. All swimmers not registered with Scottish Swimming, Swim England, or Swim Wales will be required to sign an agreement to undergo testing.
Swimwear: Scottish Swimming's Swimwear Policy applies. A suit check will only be made if a World or European record is claimed.
Photography: Only authorised media partners may use professional camera equipment. Spectators are asked to focus on their own family members and avoid including other participants in images shared on social media. Mobile phones and electronic devices capable of photography are not permitted in changing areas, toilets, or shower areas at any time.
Awards: No formal presentations will be made. A presentation area will be set up off the field of play where swimmers can collect medals.
