General Conditions


  1. This meet is held under ASA Laws.
  2. All competitors must be registered with the ASA or their own national association as appropriate.
  3. Closing date: 28 September 2026.
  4. Age on day: Sunday 18 October 2026.
  5. Pool length is 25 metres with 6 lanes fitted with anti-wave lane ropes.
  6. Electronic timing system will be in operation.
  7. Age groups are 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 plus.
  8. Swimmers must not be faster than the time limits quoted in the qualifying times table. Any swimmers entered on faster times than those for their age and event will be excluded. All entry times must be converted to 25m pool times using the ASA Conversion tables. A time must be entered on the entry file; training times will be accepted.
  9. All events will be Heat Declared Winners.
  10. Coaches/Team Managers must notify the recorders 60 minutes before the start of the session if any of their swimmers have withdrawn.
  11. All competitors must go through marshalling for both heats and finals. If a competitor does not report to marshalling in time the event will proceed without them.
  12. The Referee's decision regarding the interpretation and judgement of any ASA rules or laws is final.
  13. Chester le Street ASC regret they cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to property. Swimmers are recommended to use the lockers provided.
  14. A swim-down facility will be available during the gala.
  15. Photography and video of any sort is not permitted within the Leisure Centre.
  16. If a strobe start is required please email galaentries@chesterlestreetasc.co.uk as soon as possible.
  17. The Female category is for birth sex females in accordance with Swim England's Transgender and Non-Binary Competition Policy. By entering the Female category, a swimmer confirms that their birth sex is female.
  18. All other matters regarding the running and administration of the meet shall be at the discretion of the promoter and their agent(s).

Medals


Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in age group events (age groups 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 plus). For 50m and 100m events, medals will be awarded in finals only for 13 and under and 14 plus.

Entry Fees & Summary Sheet


Please complete an entry summary sheet and return it with your entry fees by the closing date. All coaches and team managers assisting poolside must be CRB/DBS checked.

CRB/DBS requirement: All coaches and team managers assisting poolside must be CRB/DBS checked. Please confirm this on your entry summary sheet.

How to Enter


Entries can be made via Sports Systems Entry Manager. Entry files are available from September 2026. Poolside entries will only be accepted at the discretion of the meet manager and if the meet is not oversubscribed. If the meet is oversubscribed, rejections will be made from the slower swims.
