D&G swimmers competed at the Swim England North East Age Group Championships, Weekend 1, held on 25 and 26 April 2026 at the John Charles Centre for Sport, Leeds.
The team produced a strong performance across the weekend, with multiple finalists and a number of lifetime best times recorded.
Final Results
Imogen reached the 200m Butterfly final in the 11/12 years age group, swimming a lifetime best to claim the Silver medal.
Joe W competed in the 100m Backstroke 13 years final, also recording a lifetime best.
Hetty backed up her Silver medal from the 50m Breaststroke on Saturday with another Silver in the 100m Breaststroke final on Sunday, again with a lifetime best.
Thanks also to our team managers and poolside coaches, who took excellent care of the swimmers throughout the weekend and provided guidance and support in the build-up to each race.
A special mention to D&G's own Coach Jay Manners, who served as the live streaming announcer throughout the weekend — and did an excellent job of it.
