Summer Splash 2026
City of Sunderland ASC — 4 & 5 July 2026
What a weekend at Sunderland Aquatic Centre. D&G swimmers turned out in force for the Summer Splash 2026, delivering two days of fantastic long course racing to close out the season in style. PBs, medals, first-time long course swims and brilliant team spirit throughout.
What a great first day. Lots of PBs, great racing, lots of medals and brilliant support for team mates poolside throughout. A special shout out to all our first timers — racing long course for the first time is no small thing, and every single one of you did a fantastic job. Time to refuel, rest and sleep well before doing it all again.
Swimmers stepped up in every session with long course PBs, more first-time long course racing and more medals than we could count. Smiles and support for each other were in abundance throughout what was the last gala of the season for many in Team D&G. Well done to every single one of you.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this weekend possible. To our coaches, team managers, officials and volunteers — your time and dedication does not go unnoticed. Thank you to the event organisers at City of Sunderland ASC for a brilliantly run meet, and to all our parents and supporters who cheered the team on across both days.
