While our athletes have been racing all week in Sheffield, three of our own volunteers have been working hard behind the scenes to make the whole competition run smoothly. A big D&G shout out to Darren Maxwell, Graham Robinson and Tina Maxwell, who have all given up their week to support the Next Gen Championships.

What is Field of Play?
Aquatics GB Role
The Field of Play team manages everything on the pool deck during competition. That means controlling deck access, guiding athletes from the call room to the blocks, managing warm-up lanes, organising medal ceremonies, and keeping the competition area clear and safe throughout the meet. It is the operational backbone of how racing is run.
It takes a huge amount of organisation and commitment to take on roles like these at a national championship. We are very proud to have Darren, Graham and Tina representing D&G in this way. Thank you all.
