D&G Swim Team are proud to share that one of our younger athletes, Jessica represented D&G Swim Team in the most wonderful way yesterday, volunteering at the Special Olympics at the Sunderland Aquatic Centre.
What makes this even more impressive is that Jessica had been at training with us yesterday morning before heading straight over to the Aquatic Centre to give her time and energy to support the event. That kind of commitment — to her sport and to her community — is something that makes the whole club incredibly proud.
And it clearly runs in the family! Jessica’s mam, Trish, was also at the event today, officiating throughout. A brilliant effort from both of them.
Volunteering and giving back to the swimming community is something we value enormously at D&G, and seeing our members step up in this way is truly heart-warming. Well done Jessica and Trish, you are a credit to this club!
