This week, many of our younger swimmers in the 10 and 11 age group will be sitting their Key Stage 2 SATs exams. We just wanted to take a moment to say something simple: we are proud of you - whatever happens.
SATs are a milestone. They are part of growing up, and we know that for some of you - and for your families - this week might feel like a big deal. That is completely understandable. But we also want you to know this: a set of exam results does not define who you are, what you are capable of, or the kind of person you will become.
What we see every week in the pool tells us far more about you than any test ever could. We see young people who show up, who work hard, who support their teammates, and who keep going even when things are tough. Those qualities matter far more than any grade.
So this week, do your best, look after yourselves, and know that your coaches and the whole D&G Swim Team family are thinking of you.
