Five D&G swimmers — Joe S, Joe W, Roxie, Ayla and Laila — recently attended the second Northumberland & Durham Swimming Association development camp, held at Sunderland Aquatic Centre.

The camp is designed for selected swimmers aged 12 turning 13, combining pool sessions with educational workshops to support development both in and out of the water. It is exactly the kind of opportunity that benefits from regional collaboration, bringing together young athletes from across the area to train, learn and grow alongside each other.
A special mention goes to D&G coach Jay Manners, who served as one of the skill coaches throughout the camp, contributing to the programme and representing the club with distinction.
Well done to all five swimmers for taking on the challenge and flying the flag for D&G.
