Derwentside and Gateshead Swim Team

Annual Presentation Party 2026

A brilliant evening celebrating our swimmers, our champions, and our club.

This year's Annual Presentation Party was a truly special occasion — our first as a newly merged club. A great time was had by all as Derwentside and Gateshead Swim Team came together to celebrate the achievements of our swimmers, coaches, and volunteers across what has been a landmark season.

We were proud to award our Club Championship winners from each age category — recognising the hard work, dedication, and talent that our swimmers bring to the pool every single session.

A special mention goes to our Junior League swimmers, who were celebrated for their outstanding achievement of being crowned Division 3 Champions — a fantastic result to mark our first full season together as one club.

Congratulations to every swimmer who was part of this incredible achievement.

Awards recognise outstanding moments — but the strength of D&G Swim Team is built by every single one of our swimmers, every single day.

To every swimmer who turns up to training week in, week out — who pushes through early mornings, tough sets, and long meets — thank you. The dedication, discipline, and team spirit you bring is what makes this club what it is. Every length you swim matters, and every one of you is part of something special.

A Huge Thank You

A massive thank you to Blackhill Club & DH8 Events and Paul (from Whitby) at Candy Kids Entertainment — the food and entertainment were fantastic and made the evening truly memorable.

Thank you too to John at Consett Smokeless Coal for the generous raffle donations — watch this space for our new club merchandise coming soon.

And a special mention to Carysmatic Creations for our fantastic welcome sign — it set the tone for a brilliant evening.
